Sept. 7th & 8th
After our last few days hiking in Oregon, we were pretty battered. The rain had not been fun and we were looking forward to a warm, dry, cozy place to hide for a few days and that is exactly what we did!
PCT Days was happening in Cascade Locks and we had planned on attending but just couldn't bring ourselves to get out of our pajamas. My feet were in bad shape and I wanted to rest up as much as possible before starting our 3rd and final state: Washington. We had come so far yet.... had so many miles left. I needed to recuperate. We heard PCT Days was a blast. I wish we had stopped by on Friday when we rolled in to Cascade Locks after our hellish day in coming down the gorge in a storm. We wanted to see friends we hadn't seen in miles, catch up with people and see what it was all about... but it just didn't happen. When we hit Cascade Locks we were pooped, to say the least. Our good friend Peggy rescued us and took us out to eat, shuttled us to Portland, and delivered us to our doorstep. THANK YOU AGAIN PEGGY!
Rest rest rest rest rest.
Washington. Here. We. Come.
