miles: 22
Cow Creek to Diaz Creek.
Today we'd need to go 22 miles. Destination: Diaz Creek.
The hiking was gorgeous, the landscape rolling and changing with every mile. Miles upon miles of granite in the distance. We were eager to make it to the high elevations!

Today was pretty easy hiking. It is nice to be up at a higher elevation where it is cooler. We are trying to acclimate to the elevation correctly so that we may avoid altitude sickness... we are doing a great job at that. We camped at 6,000, then 8,000, then 8,300, then 9,000, then 9,500... we increase a little each night.

That looks heavenly. I feel like I can smell those trees through my computer screen.
Thyra, err: T-Rex, Looks like you are 'tearing-up" the trail. I love the pics and comments of course. But, so envious of the wolf-pac.
I'm mentally changing Rocky's name to DOWNWARD DOG.
Love ya'll Wolf Pack!
Downward Dog????? Gads, he eats trail dust like ice cream... :)
