DAY 72: PRISTINE LAKE CAMPING

Mirror Lake.
miles: 20

Condensation. Lots of condensation in the morning. Usually our tent is pretty good about air circulation and staying dry but camping on a lake, in a grassy meadow = moisture. It was worth it, easily one of our best camp spots.

Today was easy hiking and Rocky, King Street and I found ourselves cruising through meadows of wildflowers, up and over small passes and through rock field after rock field.

Rocky and King Street approaching the still lake.

Rocky with a smashed mosquito on his temple. They find ways to get in.

Lupine is ubiquitous out here.

Yosemite.

Wow, that lake is aptly named! It is certainly beautiful, and worth staying the night over. It must have been so refreshing to wake up to that wonderful sight. Thank you for sharing this, and good luck with your future adventures in those woods!
